Have election for Barisan top posts: Kayveas

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional should have an internal election to pick the top office bearers, proposed PPP president Datuk M. Kayveas.

He said it would be good to have a chance to pick the coalition’s leadership, especially the top four posts - chairman, deputy chairman, secretary-general and treasurer.

“It is better to have an election for Barisan; we can nominate names. If we agree Umno becomes chairman, then okay. If MCA or other parties get the deputy chairmanship, it is also no problem.

“The positions of secretary-general and treasurer should also be contested by other parties. Maybe there are parties in Sabah and Sarawak who are rich and can become treasurer,” he said.
