PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PPP Sarawak congratulates Datuk Dr. James Dawos Mamit for his appointment as Tourism Deputy Minister. It is the pride of Sarawak and the community here. And Bidayuh community will have a say at the Federal level.  It is symbolic of Kuala Lumpur recognition of the community’s pro Barisan Nasional in wanting to cooperate with other races in the big One Malaysia family.

In a press statement released by the State Chairman, John Lau  together with  State Publicity Officer Roy Mani, PPP Sarawak applauded the Prime Minister for the timely appointment of Datuk Dawos.

PPP Sarawak also like to  appeal to our beloved Prime Minister to listen to the voice of PPP members.  It is to replace YB Datuk Murugiah, a Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister Department who is no longer a PPP member. At the PPP annual general meeting on June 7th, 2009, a resolution was  adopted to remove  his PPP membership.  Our Party President Datuk Kayveas has submitted the replacement name to the Prime Minister.   In the spirit of One Malaysia and  our  Barison Nasional spirit, the voice of the members in PPP has been expressed and we are all waiting for the implementation by our dynamic Prime Minister  at the same time of the appointment of YB Datuk  Dawos.
